Anyway just to let you local members know

The White Horse is having its beer festival next weekend ...... which alas coincides with our area meet ... how sad

So I expect I will be on my own again ..... but I don't care cos the wife will be driving & I will be on the "Theakstons Old Peculiar"

Apologies Geoff but thats a pissy excuse to stand down..(NO OFFENCE :!: )
Theres been on a few occasions ive been at the midz meet where only i or a fellow member has been there.
Discouraging...YES but never let it grind us down.
One has to remember folk have work/family commitments so they cannot always attend. But saying that there are slackers who wont bother and its there loss.

But all said and done tis a pity that it has been a contributing factor to you standing down. All the best youth :wink:

Ed ... the main reason I am giving up the post ...... the Cancer I have is Terminal .... so I now think its time I started to do things that I want to do & let the other sort themselves out ( sure a few of the local members can organize their own runs & meets )

I gotta make the most of it mate ... but I will still stay a member & be out on the bike whenever I can
