Had a good weekend, even though the show was quiet, but that gave us more time to catch up and have a blether, good seeing you all :)
Seen a nice wee Kawa for sale that I would love to have taken home, but the boss said NO!!
I'd like to say thanks to Karen and Steve for giving me somewhere to put my feet up and feeding me, thanks
Got the Rex, just the Kat to get now...

Despite the bitterly cold conditions we had a good show and winning the best club stand was well-deserved as it shone like a beacon, partly due to GB's impressive light show  The stand was very well attended and as usual the highlight for me was meeting the many old and new club members. I am always reminded at these events just what a great bunch of guys and girls are in this club.

I've said it before, this website is great (warts'n'all) but it's at the real world events where we get to meet face to face that friendships are forged and the true spirit of the club can be found and experienced. Thanks to everyone who braved the elements and came to the show.

I was the seller of those bikes - It would appear that you are somewhat out of touch with the prices off GOOD quality bikes  Whilst the bikes may not have been stuning condition, they were priced accordingly, a NICE '72 Z1 10/10 nowadays is £25,000, mine was 8/10 £12,200, my nice '69 H1 was £10,250 I think you will find it was a 9.5 out of 10 bike? Last One similar sold for £14,200, The Blue H2 - I just sold a 9.5/10 bike for £15,000 the One at the show was a 7.5 / 10 bike and priced at £8,250, Blue S1c 9.5 out of 10 £4,800 pricey I know but try to restore one for that! One not so nice just sold fo £7,200 - The NICE F11 was £1,450 - Cheap as chips for a LOVELY bike!

The show was very poor, not many bikes or traders.
There was no outside autojumble as in previous years due to the weather conditions and these traders were inside.
The heating was broken and quite a large floor area was empty so was filled up with bar chairs/tables to improve the ambiance.
Saturday was very cold due to lack of heating and on Sunday there were several water leaks from the roof, due to the snow melting.
The bar was closed all day on sunday.
Thi show has never been big/good enough to be a 2 day event and this years £10 admission charge was far too much.
In future with Andrew Greenwoood's events I shall adopt the same attitude as his companies and just not bother.
I've had a small private autojumble pitch at every Donington show, apart from the first year of the show, and have seen the changing fortunes of this event.
