What am I missing here - the H2 was realeased in 1972, hence it is the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the H2 next year, We all went to France to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the H2 in 2002. The Z1 was released a year later in 1973 we went back again in 2003 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Z1 :rock

Virtually EVERY model was made many Months before the release date - The H2 was of course made in 1971 but not sold until 1972 - March Motorcycle Show 1972? When was the Z1 first tested in Europe? let me guess . . ermm 1973? . . . The National UK show in march 1973? Who refers to the first Z1 at a 1972 Model ? NO-ONE - It's a 1973 year Model as is the 1972 H2 - Obviously 5,000 (approx) of each were made in the prior year ready for their release in the next year. The "1972" BUILT model has been somewhat desireable in recent years purely because it is tax exempt

We Triple owners always have been ahead of our times . . . . Of course, the Zed meeting has been brought forward a year because most of the old farts that own them realise that they are on borrowed time and this may be their last chance to all get together
