Thanks Davy, I think my reply was a lot more witty and inventive then Pauls' as well.
I understand (from my reliable source) that the beached whale is actually something of a compliment when compared to reality and even I may have underestimated the severity of the situation and the lengths Paul may have to go to to rectify it.
In fact my reliable source has informed me that Paul won't be able to have any mince pies at all as he is on a strict salad only diet. I was so impressed with the optomistic way Paul is looking at the forthcoming hardship he will have to endure that for the sake of his darling wife and to help him keep temptation at bay - I ate all the pies :D :D :D

"self praise is no praise"
Did YOU really write that Paulie! I can see that phrase being quoted in the future

As a great lover of pies myself I don't mind being called a fat b'stard although from the images I've seen it appears that either a/ you have a headstart on me or b/ you have stuffed a pillow up your jacket, which is it?

Donaldson - sorry to have hi-jacked your post for the frivilous anticts of the younger generation! Rest assured that if I do go to Norway (will definitely need some padding on my seat!) I will bear the correct dates in mind. :D

Davy - stop hijacking this thread!
Actually I would like to go to Norway but the itinery has put me off (maybe the price of the beer as well). I may just take my old nail for a ride around Scotland or have a look on the map to see where the rally site is and make my own way there.

"for me it would require too much time away from my business"
well that's a relief!
2 mince and 1 steak tonight :D

Davy - I don't mind the blasting through it!

Donaldson - what are the speed limits like in Norway, I hear some of the Scandinavian countries are pretty draconian?
