About the Z-Rally in Germany Zytanien Hannover

... well the rally is already history .....
I want to give you chaps an impression about the rally. For those who
had to stay home - you rellay missed something !!
I myself loaded my bike into the minbus and went about 450 km to
a club member on thursday evening where we relaxed in attention of the
upcoming event.
On friday morning we both together headed towards the loaction
with the bikes in the bus and on the trailer including our equipment,
because the weather forecast announced heavy thunderstorms and strong
rain.
After having set up the tents, we welcomed different Z-friends, watching
others to arrive one by one.

Our clubmember Christian arrived tired and soaked in wet, after having
collected his registration plate with a 2,5 km footmarch on the motorway.

The guys from Ulm headed straight to the beer stand upon arrival in order to get the first drink.

Fortunatelly the weather forcast was absolutelly wrong. Only some drops of rain came down on friday.
Workshop
Friday evening Achim and his friends parted the Z1000A of rookie Jan (18)
who wished to have a kickstarter fitted. Remeber that he has to
ride the Z1000 limited to of 34 HP for the next 2 years only ...

The bike was parted out around 17:00 and came back into operation as late as 23:30.

During friday night some showers went down and some of the guys
found themselves in a swimming pool rather than in the tent.
On staurday at 14:00 a tour was scheduled in the area around the
rally place of Zytanien. A stop was used to take lunch and also to take some snapshots.

In the evening the most beautiful bike, the strongest Z, the
longerst distance etc. have been awarded. Congratulation to
the friends from UK for the award "Most beautiful Z" and "Longest
way of travel" !!

The chaps from England had a lot of fun and enjoyed th German beer

On sunday morning, the departure was quite fast, because everyone
wanted to get home a.s.a.p.
We want to thank all Z-friends who have
been busy in the organisation and I hope it was a motivation to arrange
another rally again soon.
We were happy to have many of you guys from UK with us and
promise to pay you a visit in 2010 !!
See you on the road ...
Peter from the Z-Club-Germany.
Pictures you can find here ....

zed the best ride of your life ...... so far
Thank you Peter and it was a real pleasure to meet you and the others we see here on our Forum GB.
I have already started another thread for post rally conversation and found your picture link there. Super pictures !
For those that were not there I would say that this was not just a superbly organised rally, but that our friends from Germany made us feel more than welcome and we came home with more than we departed GB. That is the friends we made and the ideas we must take for our Rally when you come and visit us. You set a high standard indeed.
In my broken German I took the microphone on stage to thank the people and organisers for welcoming us so warmly. I hope it came across as intended ? We had a magical time and will forever remember our trip to Zytanien.........................................or until the next time

Got home about 9.00 yesterday.
Guys, I have a great weekend, took in a short tour of France, Belgium, Holland, then on to the German Rally. After a few minor problems my Zed put that big smile back on my face and ate up the miles in style.
Thanks to our German friends for your organisation, hospitality and friendship, Chris (TLC) brilliant idea, cheers for inviting me, you’re a top bloke
All the other English Zed lads, good to meet you all, hope that we can do it again!!!
