Cheddar Show (South West) 14th June - SHORT NOTICE

#1 PostAuthor: RALPHARAMA » Mon Jun 09, 2008 6:43 pm

My mate Shaun has let me know that there is a bike show at Cheddar at the Riverside Inn on Saturday 14th June - This Saturday. It's put on by the NCC and Shaun says that it has been good in past years. Has all sorts of entertainment. I'll be attending with The Current Bride and Shaun will be down on his A4. Another fellow from our village might come down on his Z1A if he can get it MOTed in time.

Sorry it's ridiculously short notice, but I've only just got the details.

Still we're hairy arsed bikers so we're s'posed to be spontaneous!

If any of you South West ladz and ladesses can make it I't would be great to meet you :D [/b]

It is in fairness pretty lastminute.com , but I seriously hope it doesn't bode badly for the future.

Sadly Piglet can't make it as he has rellies visiting, but would have otherwise. If I can find the time I'll knock up some leaflets or business cards to take with me and praps try and find some way of attaching summat to me bike advertising the club. I'm a bit pushed with work at the mo, but I'll do me best.

Its the national CHOPPER club rally.....
So big back rests, highway pegs & ape-hangers are obligatory..........
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Hi Noel

I'm aiming to be there at around midday. We'll be setting off from Wells at approx 11.30ish.

It's at the bottom of the gorge by the mini roundabout, as central as central gets!

As you're coming a long way you'd be welcome to doss down at my abode for the night. I'll PM you my dog n bone number.

Well i didnt make it today cuz mr impatient took over and he couldnt wait to put his spoke wheels on and the rear caliper spacer was wrong so the rear brake was binding on and had to stop to let the caliper cool off and then limp home. they say patience is a virtue why oh why dont i ever learn it
Had a root round in me spares box and found a spacer thats done the job bit late now though sorry ralph and noel good talking to you noel even though it was on the phone

Weather was fab. Noel came all the way up from Cornwall. Great Guy and his 'arris looks great in the flesh, though the seat looked a bit thin for such along ride. Shaun came along on his A4 and CB came on the back of the Old Gurl.

Rather too many Harleys for my taste. Ours were the only Zeds, save a rather doggy z650 chop.

I'll post some pix tomorrow when I get back to my own machine - no card reader at the Bridery.

Myself and the bride enjoyed ourselves and I hope that Shaun and Noel did also. Shame Mikey didn't make it :(
