We arrived a couple of days ago at but I will copy and paste what I have put on the triples forum and try and keep it up here
Once again myself and Posh Pete are all loaded up and ready to go!

A dry ride down to the boat but it was windy so a fairly rough crossing.
Off the boat at 12.30 and then 17 miles to my mums.
Great to see her and after sandwiches we went out on the bikes.
Weather glorious by now and it was over the hills towards the TT course
We rode up to Ramsey on the TT course and stopped in parliament square.
There was great interest in  the H2"s
Gary Range  from Canada introduced himself?
Said he had triples and knew RB?.
What's app"d RB and he said you mean HARRY Â :D

With the roads due to close for the practice session we decided to get back on the TT course and go over the mountain section.
It one way traffic for 10 miles so you get a taste of the real TT course!
The roads were quiet and we gave the triples a serious thrashing!!
What a great ride with "over the ton" being seen on a few Occasions!!
We got to the grandstand and had a look around, Pete buying the latest Limited addition ARAi TT helmet as he has them all for each year.
They will post it to his house.
We then went down to the sea terminal to book our boat for next year.
17 miles back to my mums on "B" roads made for a Good ride.
We are now fed and watered and will go out later for a few beers!!
Before we went back to my mums we went down the sea front where we are staying in Port Erin to get a picture of the bikes.
The derelict breakwater was built many years ago and destroyed in a storm.
The monument on the hill is Milners tower suppose to be in the shape of a key?
Below you may be able to make out a stone chimney which is an old derelict Tin mine.
My fathers ash"s were scattered into the sea at this spot in 1989 so I do like to visit this point and of course as many of you know My father was a lighthouse keeper.

A few quiet beers as we are riding today
Police presence is heavy and we seen a few speed traps yesterday.
Fines are heavy for speeding and offences logged here also go on to your Uk license.
A ban from driving here for serious offences also means you will be banned in the UK.
There is no speed limit on the "open" road so in theory you can go as fast as you want over the "mountain" etc but in reality you could get prosecuted for reckless riding.
It's a bit dull and overcast today but looking forward to what we have planned!

Practising last night.
Statement issued on behalf of the ACU
ACU Events Ltd regrets to announce that French rider Franck Petricola, 32, from Pont a Mousson was killed following an accident at Sulby Crossroads at approximately 7.45pm during this evening’s qualifying session at the Isle of Man TT races.
Petricola was a regular competitor in the IRRC Championship and enjoyed his best season in 2013 with 11th overall in the Superbike category. Â His best result, sixth, came at Chimay and he ended the year strongly with six successive top ten finishes and took a brace of thirds in the Lightweight Races at Horice and Terlicko.
He was due to make his TT debut in 2014 but was injured in the North West 200 meeting earlier in the month and was forced to withdraw from last year’s event.  He returned to full fitness and raced at Scarborough and the North West 200 where he finished 25th in the Superstock race and 21st in the Superbike Race.
The ACU wishes to pass on their deepest sympathy to Franck’s family and friends.
The Coroner of Inquests has been informed and an investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway.

Before we left we visited the hospice shop where my mum does voluntary work and next door was posh Pete's shop!
My H2 clocked up 15,000 miles
Onwards to our destination to someone I used to race with and had not seen for 35 years!
He raced h1, h1r and h2r
He lives on Jurby South road circuit where we both did some racing!!
He is building another H2R!
He was preparing the A1R for a friend

We are having a great time
Ade had a bad crash in the Manx Grand Prix in the early 1980's and stopped racing then.
He got to know USA based expat Dave Crussell and 19 years after crashing in the Manx he was invited to Dave's place in California and ended up doing a race on Dave's H1R!!!!
He finished 4th and it was his first time back on any bike for 19 years!!!
He bought the H1A you see in the pictures as it was a H1A he started racing on in 1977.
The H1B was an unrestored bike and had just been sold to fund his H1R project.
H2R cases were strengthened at the back with additional weld
Carbs were H1RA which Ade said was common on H2R"s
Many parts have already been refurbed!
Tank is the original but it's a replica frame  that had just arrived.
The original frame was damaged beyond repair!
We spent a few hours there and it was great to catch up with ADE:D Â :D
We said our goodbyes and did a "lap" of the old circuit  :D
It's no longer used for racing as the road surface is in poor condition and the club did not have the money to resurface the 4 mile track.

It's giving rain for a couple of hours and then clearing up
I will post this incase I lose it as the internet crashes from time to time
There was even a few kawasaki triples
We left the collection and after a coffee in the local cafe we headed towards Ramsey .
We suffered our first casualty as Pete's rev counter came undone LOL
We were now back on the TT course and I knew from the volume of traffic coming towards us the mountain section of the course would be closed
Sure enough at Ramsey the road was closed due to an accident by road rides on the mountain.
Police told us biker had lost control at  Guthries gone through the fencing and down the mountain.
He tools us not to bother waiting as the road would not be reopened until late evening after the race bikes had practiced.
We ended up taking the coast rd and the traffic was heavy!
So the pace was slow!
We stopped at Laxey where the bikes again drew the crowds
On to Douglas we left the main road an came in on the quieter groundle glen rd so had a good ride after all
We stopped at the T.shirt shop and have sorted T.shirts for our Mid-Ohio trip in a months time!
It's  a hard life but I'm trying not to weaken  :D
Back home ,mum had our evening meal ready
Out a night we rounded the day off with a couple of pint of..............

By midday the early morning rain was clearing away and blue sky,s were once again breaking through.
Roads dryed out quickly so we sent off for Douglas to have a look around the pit area.
The grandstand / pit area was very busy with lots of spectators. Coming to see what was going on.

TT lap record holder Bruce Ansty was pleased with this picture which he autographed for a spectator. He showed it to all the team!
No pictures of the Milwaukee Yamaha team as there rider race ace. Michael Dunlop defected to a bmw 2 days ago!!
The team has packed up and gone home!
We came across my friend Pete the paint  :D who is mechanicing for rider Tim Sayers.
Tim is racing in the super twins class but it's a standard engine so he is some 20mph down on speed through the speed trap on Sulby straight against the top boys.
Bike had not been handling so well so the forks were taken out and given to fork specialist Maxton who had built them.
With some tweaks and alterations to the internals Tim was going to try them out again that Evening  in practice.
It's a stressful job working on the bike as your rides life depends on it on a circuit like the TT where there is no room for mistakes or errors.
Pete said he kept checking he had retightened the forks!
I heard Tim ask 3 times "has the rear wheel been tightened!"
It had!
The team consisted of Tim, Mel, his partner ,Pete and two other helpers/ mechanics and "Mr Rodgers" the team dog

It's a sunny day but with strong winds the races are delayed.
The pilot of the helicopter which crashed on the hillside on the mountain section has been killed so the road will be closed for some time for accident investigators.
We head off into the local hills again ,great roads to ride on as there is little traffic on them as most riders are on they TT course!
We stop at Niarbyl and the wind is blowing hard but great scenery
We carried on to Peel where there was an exhibition dedicated to Irish road racers

We carried on down to peel harbour where Pete had a crab roll and my careful eating plan took a hit with the scone,jam and clotted cream!!
Well we are on holiday!!
We stopped at the kipper factory
Back on the bikes we went down a road called the switchback trying to find a road where we can get access to a place called Laurel bank for the races which have now been cancelled till tomorrow.
We rejoin the TT course and Ride to laurel bank to check out the viewing?
It looks a like a good spot and if we can find the access point we will come here tomorrow
On the way back I stop to show Pete a plaque dedicated to one of the fallen riders.
There are many of these at various points around the course
I had met Phil the day before when he was the judge at a Suzuki owners club rally.
I won best special for my Dunstall GT750 Suzuki and he presented me with the. Trophy .
He was high sided from his works Suzuki at this point(Dorans  bend)

We carried on back over the sloch the twisty hill road back to port Erin and once again stopped for a few photo shoots
My Mum wasn't cooking tonight so we went to the local chippy ,sat in and had fish,chips and mushy peas!
Looks like the careful eating went out the window again!!
And finally after dropping off the bikes ,showering etc guess where we ended up again
