I've booked Donington.
I'll be there on my Z1100R.
Not sure about the camping though, sounds like too much hard work for one night and the circuit is right under the flight path for East Midlands Airport.
Though may change my mind if if the weather's good.

Must be about 14 years since I last took here around a track.

Good news Brian that makes four or five zeds so far.
I'm going to hire a van and stay overnight because its a very early start in the morning and i'm not a morning person.
Know what you mean about the planes though.

Just booked my 1170 ELR on the Donnington track day. I will start praying to the weather gods that the weather will be toasty.
I am not sure about accomodation, getting to old to sleep in a tent when a hotel is nearby. Where are people staying?

Just a few weeks to go until our last classic bike trackday of 2012 on Donington Park GP circuit - Friday 3rd August, so if you're interested in coming along (to ride or watch) here's a quick recap about the day;

3 groups: Novice, 2 Stroke and 4 Stroke, with each group getting 7 x 20 minute sessions. We'll also have Griff from Aprilia Performance onsite all day to help sort any mechanical problems anyone might have (he helped a number of guys at Mallory), a tyre specialist and fitter, and our ACU qualified instructors - Steve and Stuart - will be there for everyone to use FOC throughout the day with priority going to the novices. We're also aiming to run a couple of classroom sessions in the paddock to help riders get more from the day.

There's a cracking assortment of bikes already booked in but room for some more yet. Here's a quick list of the (4stroke) Z family coming so far…

P&M KAWASAKI F1 750
P&M KAWASAKI 1260
P&M KAWASAKI 1170
KAWASAKI Z1000 J1
KAWASAKI Z1000R
KAWASAKI Z1100
KAWASAKI Z1100
KAWASAKI Z1100R
KAWASAKI Z650
KAWASAKI ZXR750RR
KAWASAKI GPZ550
KAWASAKI GPZ900R
PIPER KAWASAKI
KAWASAKI ZEPHYR 1100
KAWASAKI ZZR1100

All we need now is a bit of sun!!

Hope to see you there :)

Hi Rob, was it you in the van parked next to the Ducati UK truck who I spoke to about the track days and racing as we were packing up after the festival of 1,000 bikes? I mentioned I have 2 turbos, a GPz1100 Uni and a GPz750R1..
Regards, Gary.
