I'm titivating a Z1A that underwent a full resto a few years back, has never been run since and coming across a few issues. This bike is fitted with an Avon Road Runner 3.25H19 front tyre that is rubbing on the mudguard.:evil:
Anyone else had this problem with this tyre.:?:
The tyre has quiet a large rib on each side which contacts the top side cheeks of the mudguard. (The mudguard is NOS and seem to be the correct profile)

If you have did you change to another version of Avon tyre.:?: The rear is an Avon Roadrunner too.

I had exactly the same problem with the same tyre a good few years ago,changed the make of tyre to BT 45.
The tyre tends to rub near the fixing bolts area if I remember.
