I am having problems getting the little cover off on the engine sprocket cover, so that I can adjust the clutch. Has anybody had a similar problem and how did you sort it.
Cheers Rob

It can be difficult to remove , there's nowhere to grip .
If it's not corroded in place , a flat blade screwdriver into one or other of the boltholes and sideways force dislodges it . Otherwise it's like Pigford says , remove the sprocket cover and tap it out from behind .Reassamble with grease! It might be decades of salt

Theres nothing behind that cover but a 12mm half nut and an adjuster screw.
taking the whole outer cover off wont help because all youll see is the fat end of the adjuster screw.
All thats holding it in, is the stiction of the gasket.
On mine i had to put a little bit of bar in the open hole and tap it perpendicular. A little to one side a little to the other.
Only other thing i could suggest it warm it right up with a hot air gun or soak it it boiling water!!
Dont get it too hot i think that casing is mag alloy.
(explosive under the right conditions)
