Regarding the problems ive been having lately with my A2 spluttering and misfiring, well riding to and from the southwest meet today hit some very heavy showers and the problem got worse and i was also getting a small electrical shock from the clutch and brake levers every time i used them could there be a problem somewhere in the handlebar switches that is causing the spluttering and misfire????

Mikey, do you have the wiring running through the handlebars? Had starting problems on my B2 and traced it to the wiring chaffing on the handlebars it definitely sounds like the wiring to switchgear or switchgear.

Mikey. I think you should check the coils.
My old KH250 burned a carbon trace down the outside of the coil to earth which only became apparent in the wet. In the dry everything was fine. I was able to see a clear mark where it had gone.
Also 12v 10a won`t give you a shock, but 15,000 will !

Mikey, you said earlier today that you had Dyna coils fitted. Check where the low tension (12v) connects, as this is very close to the mounting pillar & could short out. Look at mine & you will see I have cunningly slipped a bit of heatshrink over the pillar to avoid any shorts.
Sorry the pic is so big, but you should see what I mean.

Right after spending all day working on the fekking thing this is what i found, couple ht leads looked a bit suss so replaced those and it improved things a tad, so next i put a harris back on it after all thats what it had on it before the shunt last year but no real change, so then had the carbs off stripped them a part but all the jets were clean, so thought id check float heights (dont have the tool for doing fuel level) and they were all over the place so done them put it back together and what a diffrence, took it for a spin and hey presto al is well again, dare say it could do with a carb balance after having them apart but yeah think its sorted fingers crossed, so seems like it was a mixture of a few problems?????

Well Mikey, I ended up in me garage!!
Seriously though (if you can be on here), glad you have got it running well, but the float heights don't explain the electric shock treatment you were getting on the way home yesterday.
When I saw you in my mirrors I just thought you were a 'Smiley Mikey'........ Didn't know you were being electrocuted!!!!!!!
