Hi all ,crap weather today decided to make start on my Winter Project Z1B Head all looks fine with exception of one bottom half shell that is damaged,my query is i have a number of used but good shells if i replace the damaged one with one of these what is the best way to ensure it runs true?,i guess it should be line reamed but i dont have a reamer to suit,any input on this appreciated...Cheers Pauljac

Hillbilly has kindly offered me some spare shells D6G-A STD is what i have he has D91 std anyone know what the codes mean? Thanks Paul J..z power just list a shell, no numbers stated....

All zed cam shells are the same size right up to the gpz's. They didn't do undersize or oversize options from the factory. The upper half ones usually wear the most as their always subject to valve spring pressure. It will be fine fitting a good used one as long as its not worn through the white metal or badly scored. Don't try reaming them as it will turn them to scrap.
