Hi all,
I bought a z900 rear oval light a little while back to put on my z1000, only it doesnt fit, the holes are about 1mm or so out, am I correct in saying that I will need the z900 light bracket to fit this light,

Andy the Z900 had a square rear light. The ovals were found on Z1,Z1A,Z1B which had a different bracket

There is also a difference between the brackets for the UK and USA mudguards.

Phil, as I understand there are two types of mount for each of the the following:
the [Square] Z900 A4, Z1000 A1 & 2.
Both are for the two different types of rear guard [short or long]. I must admit I have seen others that support the oval lens, however, I thought they were form different models (650 etc). Not sure about Ltd mounts of both classes.

Dont know much about all these difrent models etc, but when i bought my Z1000A2 it had the oval light on it with a short rear mudguard, there does seem to be an extra couple holes in the mudguard near the light bracket and the rear light to me seems to sit a bit low?

had a sq light on my z1000a2 changed it to an oval light , just drilled out one of the holes a bit wider , doesn't notice when the light is on, and still able to put sq light back on if i want to.
