engine service in the midlands

My (just brought it) Z1B is running a bit sluggish on tick over and up to about 3000 revs. It feels like a carbs problem and anyway its definately running too rich. Having just returned to Zeds I am totally out of touch with where I can find a good local bike shop who could sort it out for me. Can anybody recommend somewhere in the Midlands, preferably in the Derby, Burton on Trent, Tamworth, Cannock zone.

Hi,
Are you sorted yet as I have a mate who lives near tamworth who loves the old school stuff and sorts bikes out for people in his spare time, He used to be a mechanic and was the founder of earlystocks racing!
He does'nt charge over the odds and may be willing to have a look at it for you.
