Racks for Z1 Z900 Z1000

#1 PostAuthor: bedlow1 » Sun May 10, 2009 3:45 pm

Rally season is here, so maybe you need a rack?????
Look what I found in my garage after a clear up. Never used or taken out the packet must be hens teeth by now
But if you need one for rallies etc to stop stuff chaffing your tail piece look out for one of these. No longer available from Kawasaki but sometimes they crop up on ebay. We used to call them continental racks they fit in a jiffy and you can keep the grab rail on and doesn’t interfere with the winkers.
Heres a pic of it fitted to my Z1b, Im all set ready for the off!
Ive had several pms, Its not for sale its just for info. I need it myself!

Good to see it`s at least as long as mine and I`m not sure wether it will foul my EU spec indicator mounts, but maybe we could get them reproduced from your pattern.

Must be a huge demand for such a rare item

mate of mine owns a steel fabrication company. if you're willing to loan it to me I can see what it'd cost to replicate - might be prohibitive though for small numbers.

Just a small point Graham, if I where to put the rack on my bike I think I would sleeve the u-bolt with rubber to protect the chrome on the grab rail.
