if you filled your standard z1000 tank to the top and rode the bike for normal running around roughly how many miles would you do till you hit reserve ?

I get about 200 kms before reserve on my '77 Z1000 if my memory serves me right. I've only been out on it a cpl of times so far this season and have yet to hit reserve as I have topped up before any run. But yeah, somewhere around 200 kms.

75 to 125 roughly but you have to work hard to get it down to 75 or do loads of short runs in traffic... ltd has a smaller tank if you have one of them

My old Z1 used to regularly do 120-130 miles on a tankfull around town and when 'my crowd' went on a long run we all used to get 145 before switching onto reserve, some of the lads with Devil pipes used to get slightly more and performance to boot! 2* Z900, 1* Z1 & 2 * Z1b's.

Wasn't the Z900/Z1000 tank slightly bigger capacity than Z1's? Without checking I thought the '73-'75 Z1 range was 17 litres & Z900/z1000 18 litres. If so you should get 135+ for sure driven sensibly.

My LTD does around 100-110 miles to reserve, my Lawson has been getting around 85 to reserve but that is riding around London in traffic.
