No spark-update

I have been checking the ignition system as I have no spark. Using the fault finding chart, the pulsar coil resistance reads correctly on 1 and 4, but no ohms on 2 and 3.
Also the IC Ignitor seems to have the wrong resistance, having looked at the prices to replace them, would a Dyna s kit replace them both. I already have Dyna coils and leads fitted.
It is for a Z1000J

Just checked my coils I have the green 3 ohms DC1-1 coils fitted, will these be okay to use with standard ignitor and Dyna DS2-1 ignition.

I'm running me Lawson with only the Dyna S.....

The igniter is not used :!:

Thats the idea, to replace the Kawasaki CDI box thingy, with a simpler and more reliable item

Check the connector block terminals before spending your money as it is these that usually give trouble.

I have checked the wires near the bottom using the pin adapters on my fluke, they read the same.
Piggy I have had a look on the Dyna website and see what you mean. I will still take you up on your offer as it gives me the option of running standard and having a tacho working.
I will contact John Browse tomorrow and see how much a second hand pulse coil is.

Result, thanks to Pigford and John Browse I have replaced the offending items and now have a big fat juicy spark from both coils  . I should get my carbs in the next couple of weeks, so it is on time for it to be ready for June.

A happy Rob
