GEARING?

Hello to one and all.
I`m after some advice on sprocket size, my GPZ1100 B1 is running 17" wheels 170/60/17 on the rear, 530 chain and an 18 tooth billet front sprocket.
What I`d like to know is what size rear sprocket should I fit to give me gearing that`s roughly the same as a standard GPZ11?
At the moment it`s a little buzzy at speed, 6000+ at 80 mph.
The front sprocket isn`t very old and was pretty expensive so I`d rather just change the rear one.

Any advice on this is appreciated.
Thanks

Allan

Allan,

What size rear sprocket are you running?

Rear sprocket is 48 teeth on A GSXR rim, monoshocked with
JMC swingarm not the that should make any difference,
what rear sprocket should I fit for a better compromise
between acceleration and slightly more relaxed cruising.

Cheers

I,m currently running 17 - 33 630 pitch with 17" wheels on the z1r which is close to the std z9/1000s 15-33 on 18"s. On the drouin i'm going 530 pitch which ideally wants 20 - 39/40 to get close but obviously 20t won't fit on the front so i'm going 19 - 39 or 40. A 530 rear with 39-40 teeth has roughly the same core diameter as the 630,s 33 which is really the smallest you should go before you get chain to swingarm pivot clearance issues.
