Anyone know what the thread size is for:

a) Z1 Caliper brake line connection (Not the nipple)
b) Z1 brake pressure switch.

I'm guessing its a pipe thread, maybe 1/4"NPT.

I always thought it was M10 x 1.0mm.

At least that`s what it was on my LC

I still reckon it`s 10 x 1.0 :|

Sorry my old Yam one is 1.0mm.

Just checked an old distributor block and reckon you are right

You could be right about the pressure switch Mike. 1/4 NPT looks good to me.

That's a handy link. I got hold of an 1/8"NPT tap today and its not right! I never thought this would be a metric thread as it appears to be tapered, however, its an M10 * 0.75 Pitch i.e an M10 Fine thread. I've got one of those in the garage..

Mike, M10 x 0.75 is a mighty fine pitch indeed. Just in case it turns out to be M10 x 1.0 which is still fine compared to the M10 x 1.25 normally called fine by most fastener suppliers. I have a tap you can borrow! M10 x 1.0 that is!

Now I'm confused, I measured this thread with a set of thread gauges and its definitely an 0.9mm pitch and 9.9mm OD, I've never heard of a
M10*0.9mm thread size.

This must be some odd-ball thread. My thread gauges cover a huge range and it not 0.75 or 0.8 or 1.0 its def 0.9mm pitch.

Plenty of head scratching now.
