Hi All.Does anyone know where the brake failure relay is located on a Z1b and how to indentify it is not detailed in my manual only on the circuit diagram?

Pauljac47, the brake outage unit on the Z1B is mounted off the left-hand-side coil, under the tank. It has a small special bracket and the unit is mounted in a rubber sheaf. The rubber is usually perished and tape is often used to retain the unit to the bracket.

As far as I am aware if the unit fails then the lamp in the console will flash when the brake light is applied even though the lamp is okay.

They are available and I have seen for $60 new but also periodically on fleabay starting at $30.

If you save a search for "switch outage indicator" then they will show.
