It feels like I'm spamming the forum a lot at the moment, sorry - but the bike is really coming together, and I couldn't have done it without all your help... I'm about to rebuild the carbs, and I'm fitting a marving 4:1 exhaust and foam filters (no airbox), no other engine mods - does anyone have any advice/suggestions on what jets to use?

Thanks,

Stu

Hi Mothra, bit of a fraud as i cant help you but you might want to have word with Andy Kennett at Dyna Tech Performance in Bramley just up the road from you.

If you want they will run it on the dyno and give you an air/fuel ratio graph for the whole range. Its about £35 or so inc. horse and torque graphs.

Having said that they keep all the graphs on their computer with details about; model, carb sizes, exhaust type, filter types, jet sizes and power / torque output for each bike they do and can tell from reference and experience where you should be aiming in the first instance and then maybe let them modify this on the dyno after you have run it in. If you speak to them that is more or less what they will tell you. Cheapest way i know to get it spot on. Make sure it is run in before you dyno it cos as you can imagine its gonna get pretty well spanked on the run up.

Their busines address is;

Unit 11 Cufaude Business Park,
Cufaude Lane
Bramley
RG 26 5DL
01256 881711

P.S. They're not big fans of foam filters! I found out the hard way when i rocked up with mine hanging off.

Al, that's pretty helpful indeed - thanks. I'll definitely run it down there, and give them a call before hand...
