Which engine is this

#1 PostAuthor: foreverinthegarage » Mon Jan 19, 2009 11:22 pm

Hi all,Can any one help me identify the engine i have here, it came to me with no casings and no altinator. I have fitted standard casings from a Z1000 A1 inc the rocker cover with no problem, the problems started when trying to find a rotor nothing from the early engines fits.
When it came to me it had square rocker tops. The engine number is KZTOOAE 076842 which is a later number and if it helps i think its from the USA. And its chain drive

Many Thanks Mick

it's a MK2 motor
the crank has a different taper and the 900 rotor won't fit
the alternator is also different as is the outer casing
