Snap-on ... you know it makes sense
Got mine off flea-bay! Twas well cheap, about forty quid, but I did do a lot of watching and bidding afore I got one for the right price

If you're skint and want the best you have to be patient

I spoke to my Snap On agent today and he told me that their basic light is NLA but that when it was it sold for £140.
I managed to win one on evilbay for £51.50.

If your going to buy one get one with an inductive pickup and if you can afford it get one with programmable advance and retard.
If you cant afford it still get one with programmable advance and retard.
Very clever indeed.
(allows you to back the timing off / advance the timing electronically in real time without altering the mechanical setup.)

That`s the fella.
I did post this topic for exactly that kind of info but had to speak with the Agent, who in being a salesman cannot be wholly trusted to be impartial.
Nice to know he told me correctly.
Thanks for the info Mr Zordy

Chris, when it turns up it might be worth waving it at the Snap-on rep and getting him to order you a spare bulb with the money youve saved before they go NLA.
20 years since i sold my programmable one but i still have my original KAL Equip one from snap on.
Still got the same bulb but one day i suspect it just wont be there anymore.
Usually, immediately after you lend it to someone in my experience with other tools.
On a cautionary note; best not to leave it anywhere near the presence of strong magnetic fields. Speakers, CRT monitors, electric generators, alternators etc.
If your numbers come up; bag one of these for ultimate control and flexibility.

£335 excluding, if buying it on the business!

The one Al shows on Flea Bay is the same one I got. Works a treat
Next time the Snap-On man comes to reef me I'll ask if the lamps are still available. Something tells me it would prolly be cheaper to buy another used unit than a lamp from Mr Snap-On inc
