I saw this for sale. What would this be worth and what would it cost to bring up to original condition with out doing a full restoration. It suppose to run sweet and is tax and tested and had 2 owners.
Sorry cant up load photo.

				Andy,
How much is the seller asking for it

I would think it was worth about 2-2.5 grand thats what i would pay.

I would say 2k is tops for that, probably a bit less maybe 1700-1800, as far as you can see it looks fairly clean but to bring it to back to original even without a full restoration it would need a seat, grabrail, rear shocks, standard airbox, front mudguard, that's £400-£500 then there's paint job £200-£600, exhaust £900 and so on. If you want a donor to make an original-ish bike I doubt that's the one to buy, but if you want a useable bike and the price is right it could be, personally if I wanted a non standard bike I would much prefer the one advertised in the for sale section, you know the poor bloke who was crucified for trying to sell his bike.

Maybe i was being a bit generous about the price - but without seeing it in the flesh it always hard to know what it's worth.
If you want a non standard Zed it would be a good bike.
I had the same idea about tidying up my Zed 1000A2 but went abit mad and spent £6000

At the end of the day it's up to you.

				Andy,
Most parts you can get from Zed Power with a 10% disscount for being in the Z1 OC club.
£2995 sounds to much for the Z900 - is it a private seller or trade - But like i said without seeing the bike it's hard to tell.
As for what i'm doing up at this time of day - i work nights
Bloody hell -Poole to Nigeria is a bit of a commute isn't

Just had a look on the auto trader web site.
They say it's totally standard apart from the 4 into 1 pipe

There was another Z900 A4 from the same seller for a grand more with Z1 body work - Lester 5 spoke wheels - misty pipe etc etc.
If i had the money i would go for that one.

Like has been said it needs a seat, rear shox, airbox,. its probably a usa import, front reflectors on frame, though cant see reflectors on rear light lens,. Its a z900A4 with z1B bobywork. pipes are approx £1000, (clamps, bolts, link pipes etc)
personaly i would'nt pay any more than £2000, prob about £1600 would be better. You can pick up standard ones (A4's) that dont need any money spending on them for £3500 / £4000.
The parts it need are fairly easy to get but quiet dear. I bought loads from jeff at z1enterprises in new york about 6 months back but now due to the exchange rate etc it would cost about £500 more to get the same now.
It depends what you want from it though, good nice bike to ride or a restored standard one. but i think £2995 is a bit to much.

				Z1 A4
Cheers thanks for the info. I am learning more each day.
That other one has a bit to much bling for me.
When you say it has the wrong body do you mean the side pannels are wrong
