Z1B IDIOT BRAKE LIGHT

Hi All,,,,Can anyone clarify what the brake idiicator light on a Z1B actually does? On my A4 it comes on when you pull front brake.Is it the same on the B or is it a brake lamp failure indicator if so how is this wired? Thanks in anticipation to any replies and thanks for all the input i am getting with other jobs on the bike.

It comes on when you brake, to show the bulb is OK
It STAYS on when the bulb is not working (whether due to a blow bulb or wiring fault.. etc).

I guess the A4 is the same as my Thou`
In the case of bulb failure it flashes

OK.... AS tlc from memory on me Z1A it could STAY on
