as I took my rear wheel off yesterday this small cylinder type thing fell onto the floor, its about 2 cm long with a hole in the centre. I cant quite work out wher it comes from, not sure if its inside the wheel or not.
can anyone identify it.

looks like its off the brake where the pull rod goes through on a drum brake model that is........

looks like that was a blessing in disguise as I think I will replace these parts with stainless now .....
