This question is for a friend af mine who has no pc.. He recently had his 74 Z1A rebuilt by a local shop. He had his stock cylinders bored to 1045cc and rejetted the carbs. Well something in the carbs or ignition went foul and he just made it to my house before the bike puked!!. The motor was HOT..too hot. He is worried he trashed the engine. Tomorrow we will give it a look. He said the last few days the bike seemed to be running hot,,but the weather is hot outside also..Any worries about the motor getting to hot for a short period of time.
thanks
greg

If by puked you mean that it promptly threw its contents all over the place then I would worry!

They will usually take running a bit hot (thrashed) with no problem. Take the plugs out and look down the bores while turning it over by hand it will give you a good idea what has happened. Check the piston tops for detonation signs while doing so it may be that it has been bored a little tight.
