Is there really a difference in the two throttle cables.I know they have different part numbers? I'm looking for a set of real Kawi throttle cables to replace my aftermarket cables which I believe were both the same cable (motion pro) and they seem to work and fit fine.

Don't think there's any difference coz I had a set that I fitted at random to a twin throttle & looked same length/fitment

I believe that there is a difference in the angled fittings that go in the switch housing. (Pretty certain about this)

You're right, but 2 identical ones seem to work ok. I stand to be correcte though.

Doesn`t that cause a problem when you`re trying to screw them in the housing without completely detatching the cables from the carb` ends ?

there might be a difference between uk and usa models as the yanks have higher handle bars, so longer cables

The difference is essentially the radius of the bends as they leave the handle bar twist grip. I got pissed off with buying iffy pattern jobs that didn't fit properly and invested in the proper jobs from Z Power.

Z1 Enterprizes sell pattern cables but there is no difference between the push and pull. Dunno if they're any good.

I think the distance from the throttle casing is also further for the closing cable and the length of the cables differs slightly. You cannot screw the cables into the housing without completely detaching one from the carbs. You can have two identical cables, it is easier to screw them in if you open the radius of the closing cable ( I "stretch" the bend in a vice - don't do it on the threaded part or it will snap) and you will need to experiment with the inner length at the carb.
Just for those who make their own - some Sukuki cables use the same chrome bends and can be bought cheap at autojumbles and don't forget that they like a little oil even though they have nylon inners.
