Might sound like a stupid question but how do i tell what size my set of mikuni flatslides are?

I cant see anything on them to suggest a size or model number. Is it just a simple case of measuring across the inside diameter of the main venturi? (34mm if that is the case).

Would these be big enough to run my modded engine? 1170 bore, gas flowed head, .395 lift cams etc......

There is a stamp on the side of them....

But, measure the internal intake diameter to be sure....

Hello Martin, i`m sure 34`s would be ok with that spec as i`m running 36`s on my 1327cc. Maybe get it dyno`d to make sure? Or call Ray/Steve at Debbens to see what they think.

pigoo is right they are marked on the side. mikuni say 36 mm for the 1100

my 1170 runs on 36's and fuels really well right through the revs.
But as the boy's say Debben could confirm this .

I spoke to Ray Debben on Tuesday about carbs for me ELR and he reckons the 38's should be fine for my bike...

1260, gasflowed, lumpy cams, valve job.....

The only things stamped on side is G6 31 on 1 side and 27a 02 on the other.

They are 34mm inside diameter on inlet side so looks like I might be in the market for a set of 36mm! Anyone fancy a part exchange?.

Final question.....

carbs 1 &2 and 3 &4 have a plastic hose connector between the main carb bodies (not the fuel inlet just above float chambers) - should these have a hose between them to balance or are they some kind of vacuum return?

Sorry to be a thicky but these have been lying around for longer than I care to remember.....

Looking at some pics off eBay I think these might be from a GSX-r???

the gsxr 750 ones have angled float bowls. they are 29mm but taper out to about 33mm. i know people who have had them opened out to 33mm and they seem to work fine. years ago 33 smoothbores were the way to go. i had 125bhp at the back wheel on my gpz1100 (1170) with 33's on
