Adavnce Retard Units

Thorugh all my ramblings, endless questions and experiments to get my Z1R to run properly, I think I have at last found the reason why it has an off idle stutter.
Today I was going to re-fit the points because i was suspicous that the timing wasnt correct with the Z1000 mk11 electronic ignition i had fitted.
So i am reading the Clymer book about how to do it and i noticed a picture of the advance retard unit, this had a number on it "1009" and I then noticed that that the number on the advance retard i was using said "1003" (this came with my bike), a quick check in the Zpower book shows the unit for the Z1000 A1/A2 and the Z1R are two different part numbers, so i am thinking could they be two different type of units and this be a possible cause of my timing problem
So I swapped the units around and leaving the mk11 electronic ignition in and tried it, and it now pulls away without stuttering, revs more cleanly and has even better poke, fook me im too scared to accept that this has been the problem all along, but i have been out testing testing...........and it is great..........
I do not know what the difference is between the two units is but i am still coming too terms with the fact that i have not got too slip the clutch and rev the engine too pull away cleanly now..................KIN ELL !
I dont know I just Dont Know
but hey ho!
If anyone knows the differences then i would gladly like to know
