I have seen a lot of people on the site recommending Denso plugs,i am currently using NGK BR8ES on my Z1B which some people do not like.What is the problem with NGK plugs and what makes the Densos better?My bike is running well but im going to the TT in a couple of weeks and i dont want any mishaps.Any advice would be welcome.Cheers

If your ignition system is 100%, and running well, its probably not a worry

But, it appears that any weakness in the system and the NGK plugs give up the ghost..... any excuse..... lots of members have had problems, solved when changing from NGK to Denso

Get DENSO for the next service

Dont worry about the plugs....cos all this lot go on an on an on about Densos......I am still using NGK..& my problem was carbs

agree with geoff no has said that the denso,s still pack in after a couple of hundred miles as there bike is running incorrectly do they ?????? ngk for 25yrs in the trade as on my own only ever had 2 faulty plugs from new other faults are when bike is too rich quick clean then shes fine

I have to be honest and say I'd never even heard of Denso's plugs before joining this club. When I bought the Old Gurl, the tail piece was full of new NGK plugs which I thought rather strange. had she been a stroker I wouldn't have been surprised. Now I have to say she was using more oil than a suzie boiler, but when I followed the advice on here and stuck in some Denso's she ran perfectly. Yes the engine needed a rebuild, but I'm not rebuilding a bike engine in the summer! When I finally did strip her, the plugs were soooo clagged up that it's amazing the spark could find anywhere to jump, but she always ran, and started easily. Yes the engine was in shit condition, but I want plugs that aren't gonna fail at the first hint of moisture. Mikey was having issues recently - I told him to get some NDs, he did and is now convinced that they are magic!

NGK's were the dogs', but they're built to a price in the Far East now. I want sturdy plugs - my bike is 31 years old with a manual choke - I'm not interested in plugs that shit themselves if I were to flood the bike.

When Densos are only £1.15 each, why piss about with the haz beans

plugs ever again i tried everything put them plugs in and man instant cure

ProwlerZ1 my Densos have now done lot more miles than my NGKs did
and my problems havent returned, my brand new NGKs did a total of 200 miles and they struggled to do that had to clean em several times, you could say it was my bike doing it to the plugs, if thats so why hasnt it happend to the Densos? Im no expert but the evidence speaks for its self.

It's all very well to say that if your bike's running ok you won't fuck your plugs, but if you're struggling to set up carbs or fuelling or have an electrical gremlin it doesn't help with the problem solving process if your brand new plugs give up the ghost every time they get a soaking, which they can do. And sometimes they just pack up for the hell of it.

The day Densos start doing that I'll review my views on plugs.

Having read all the comments made about NGK plugs and as I am having no end of problems with low speed running on my bike (plugs sooting up). I have just bought 4 Denso W24ES-U plugs (I hope they are the right ones)

I will let you know how i get on with them.

i have gotta say that the denso plugs have just transformed one of my Z1000's

It ran on NGK plugs but it was not great--put some Denso plugs in and i was amazed how well it started and rides

I am converted---never to change back

The outfit that i bougt them from as recomended here (spark-plugs)took the order on friday after lunch and they were at my house saturday 8.15am brilliant service

This is an ever ongoing subject all over this globe....
It's sorta great that folks are so international when it cums down 2 Sparkling Plugs.

Me bikes will run on all brands NGK,Denso,Bosch,Champion,Beru,Accel,Splitfire,Brisk etc
Did a quick peek this morning da Hardley is firing on NGK BPR5 EIX 11
trusty olde MKII Champion runs with Champion N2C, 900SS sparks on Accel Y 2418 (Accel sparkling plugs is actually made by Denso)

Justin you need DENSO W24ES-U.
You may have more luck with a car/auto factors as many bike shops stock only NGK.
