Have you tried a timing light to check the ignition timing is correct?

Have you checked to see if the injectors are squirting equal amounts of fuel? Could be a partially blocked injector nozzle(s). I had a couple of gummed up nozzles when my H was off the road for quite a spell.
I cleared mine by running some carb cleaner through them off the bike - using a temporary reservoir source and 'rocking' the injectors with a 1.5 battery.

i finally got a bit more done on the H today its tickiing over now but very high and around 3 thou as tho its got an air leak it wont rev to much as it just dies when you open the throttle but it getting better each time found out why it was back firing i think the advance and retard was seized on the shaft and would not move at all
think the injectors may need a bit more work or replace them just got hold of a spare set
any ideas would be apprecated

Might be worth looking at the inline fuel filter too - could be a starvation issue. I remember these used to give up the ghost pretty suddenly on my H. One minute you're tootling along fine - next bluuuuurr. Stall.
