Hi,
I'm having problems with the fuel tap on my Z1R, the fuel would not turn off so I removed the tap and removed the innards. There was a lot of sediment in there which I cleaned out and then resembled. The tap now turns off but only with the arrow pointing towards the on position. The reserve position works with the arrow towards it and the arrow towards off is on. There is a plastic cone in the tap with two holes at 90 degrees apart but the reserve and on position are 180 degrees apart. I cannot see how this can work. Also I noticed about 2 inches high of sediment around the filter can anybody recommend a flushing agent and how the best way to do it.
I have ordered a service kit for the fuel tap yesterday
Many thanks for any advice.
regards
Dave

Look at the cone and with the tao held upright put the cone back with the two holes at the bottom of the Tap.
Now put the tap handle back in with the Handle pointing left or the OFF position put the little screw back the clue is the handle is the indicator
