What's the size of the R/H rear wheel nut please?

I was going to adjust the chain and tried to fit my trusty 27mm spanner on the right hand wheel nut and it does not fit - it works on my ZX-7R (thought the Japenese standardised everything!)
Can anyone tell me what size spanner I need to buy for this one? It's a 1978 KZ1000 A2
Thanks

18mm the thread size... not spanner size which will be the AF (across flats) measurement

Yup that's the one - but it sure is not a 27mm spanner size although it looks original. I would guess it's a bit larger like 29mm - could this be a standard size?

Ah - back to using a Russian screwdriver then and the torque setting would be "quite a bit tight" ft lbs.
Good to see so many at the Ace today

Best thing is take the nut to one of the Autojumbles/flea markets and go to one of them El Cheapo tool stalls, and rumage around for a socket that fits
I got a couple for me JMC rear spindle for about a quid each

They're usually made of some kind of lead type substance though.

Come on Steve, you of all people know if they were lead, they'd be a
fiver each, minimum

I think what our Piglet friend really means is take a vernier to the nut and then call the Snap-On man and request that he sends you a socket to suit your Snap-On torque wrench ... any thing else would not be civilised! I'm sure that's what Mark meant?

I'm not so sure Ralph he may have meant Snap-Offs though.
