Yuasa Battery for my Z1A

#1 PostAuthor: mark » Sat Apr 19, 2008 11:55 am

I live in the B'ham area and am after a Yuasa Battery for my Z1A. I have tried Cradley Heath Kawasaki no joy. Any suggestions please. I am new to computers so you may not get a reply straight away as I still relatively in the dark ages. Thanks

Hello Mark, and WELCOME

As I'm not in your area, I won't be much help, other than suggesting you google or check out eBay :P

If you do get a battery delivered, remember they usually come DRY, so you'll need to get acid, which ain't so easy to come by
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Hi Mark and welcome. I recently bought a yb14l-a2 battery for a z1000 MK2 from Power Tool Services in Devon (tel 01752 340009). It came supplied with an acid pack. Fast delivery and only £28 ish.
I'm also in Brum (Sutton). Whereabouts are you ?
BTW, mine wasn't a Yuasa battery. I think it was Endurance. Do you secifically want a Yuasa battery ? There is also a Varta battery supplier down by Salford Park (Spaghetti Junction) but if you buy one from them don't take them up on their offer of commissioning the battery. They filled and charged one up for me and it only lasted a week before it refused to hold a charge. I sent it back to Varta UK and they told me it had been commisioned badly and replaced it under warranty.

I may be worng but I have a feeling that Busters sell Yuasa batteries mail order and as was previously mentioned are suplied with seperate acid pack. I am away from home so don't have their catalogue to hand but I'm sure a quick Google search will come up with the goods.
