Jack AVON- Calling,

The only 2 problems:

The engine bolts may not be long enough

They make the bike look naff :??

i think the the small casing huggeing ones look ok, but as piford says , long engine mounting bolt is not long enough for them , side tear drop nut and bolts are a bugger to get back on, and if you have the original exhaust on near impossible.
patience patience luck and more patience needed.
but if you drop the bike worth it

I got Krash barz on the Z1-R.
Briefly;I measured the overall length of bolt +size of washers and nuts to be used, add thickness of K bars, about 4ish mm so there is at least a couple of turns of thread.
Got a length of bar for the machinist to cut threads either end.
Looks pukka assembled :up

Ive got a double threaded (ie for 2 nuts)long front mounting bolt from my Z1A,which I have now replaced with a standard one, must have had crashbars on it at some time,Dave at Zed power said that was a common way to fit in the 'old' days. :)

top tip drill the tear drop nut on the bottom edge 3mm and sit em on an electricians srewdriver before trying to locate them saves all that figglin about and cursin when the thread wont engage
