Hi Bob

Apart from the injectors in the throttle bodies what is the difference between the Z1000H and GPZ1100B2 systems?

Are the ECU's the same?

I live closer so you are welcome to borrow what I have to fault find with but I don't know the history of the system itself as it came with an engine I bought.

Cheers Gus

hi gus
the gpz1100 b2 uses a dfi system which is diffrent to the z1000h nothing is the same on them but the gpz1100b1 system looks very similar to the zed as it uses an airflow meter but the ecu is diffrent i think one would work on the zed but i may have to change the rear sectoin of the loom as the plug is diffrent for the ecu but need to find a b1 system to try it

Bob, have you tested the injectors are able to open and close and are not stuck closed with gummed up fuel ? You can test them using a pp3 battery (you know the little square one with both + and - connections on the same end and not to be licked). You should be able to hear a definite click when the battery is connected. Had a few turbo injectors that were stuck shut after only a year or so without use.
ps, how did the pump work out ?

Another thing you might try Bob is to see if it makes any difference if you hold the airflow meter open then try cranking. I don't know much about the air flow meter but I think I remember someone saying the injectors will only fire if the air flow meter senses air passing over. It might be suffering similar to the turbo TPS when sat for a while, ie dirty connections at the resting position. Just a stab in the dark though.
