First of all let me introduce myself, my name is Fabio I'm an Italian Z1R owener, I,m 38 years old but I've starded servicing my bike now and I'm not expert (Sigh !) .
Yesterday It wasn't the right day to do it but I didn't know!!!
Anyway this is what happended : I planned to adjust the chain tensioner of my z1r so I've studied as a good boy The right chapter of the clymer manual and then... I've maid a mess !!!!!
I've torqued too much the wrench and bolt that locks the push rod has been broken leaving inside a prisoner !! AAAArghh I know I've been a real certified I D I O T !.
Anyway I'm trying to be positive and I'm looking forward to solve the problem .I'll buy some bolt extractors and I'll try to free the prisoner ; by the way I've found a very interesting article on this subject on AUTOINC. Online titled: ?The Art of Extraction? .If I'll fail in extracting the prisoner I'll buy a new tensioner holder and I will replace the old one.
I would like to disassemble the chain tensioner before making it
I have a question: Do I have to drain the engine oil before or is not necessary ?
Can someone tell me if there is some detail to pay attention doing the job ?
