Competition Exhaust Dimentions

After this week end trials and tribulations one problem to the long list is that it appears my home made exhaust is not fit for purpose (as the politians put it).
Can anybody provide me what the ideal bore sizes and length from header to the point where silencer slips on. I can cut the pipe to end with 63mm od or 70mm od. What is the ideal silencer entry and exit diameters, 62-63mm??
This is for a tuned 1170 motor
