Z1A oil tank filter

#1 PostAuthor: csnurney » Mon Mar 24, 2008 12:10 am

Hi,to follow on from a previous question i asked about the oil tank on a early z900.
Is it possible that any other Kawaski plastic cap with the filter in it, would fit
the z900 from the 70s.
I have seen a oil tank filter from a Kh 750 h1,what looks about the same.(Only got a drawing out of Z-power book to go by ) i wonder if the threads are the same on the cap to match bottom of plastic bottle.

May have a better chance of finding the bits that are missing looking elsewhere.

Thanks again Chris

Csnurney, so it is the cap you are after not the spout. I'm pretty sure those other chain oil bottles have the same cap. Note there is no filter in the cap, there is a wire strainer in the lower spout.
Here's a rough drawing, showing dimensions of the other items.

Blinkin' 'enry Garn, thats not a sketch, thats a real work of art

I also reckon theres a GOOD chance that another UJM bottle/tank cap will fit, just need to hunt around a bit
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
