Hi,
I'm fitting a ZRX swingarm in my Z1000 and am wondering which is best, reem the frame for a ZRX spindle or change bearings to take a Z1000 spindle?
Anyone know where I can get a stainless or titanium example of either spindle as well?
Cheers
Russ

I think it would be better to change bearings to suit Z1000 spindle

Russ check my 1000J build out I sleeved the ZRX arm with off the shelf bronze bushes, very easy to do and change the roller bearing (that needs to be ground down a little)

Unless you already bought the swinger, it'd be better to get hold of a ZRX1200 swingarm. The 1100 took a 170 profile rear tyre which are limited in choice. The ZRX12 used a wider wheel and took a 180 rear tyre. The wheels wont interchange without a chunk of work either .....

Zrx 1200 wheel goes into the 1100 swinging arm, all I did was turn a spacer around and machine the rear brake The hanger is made out of tough metal, so you will need a good tool in the lathe. Look at the zrx owners site, they have all the details needed.

Thanks guys, have a wheel ready and ordered the bearings and bronze bushes yesterday. Thinking I might let out thr swingarm by a mm since I bought sealed bearings, just need to find a caliper now...

My frames away at the moment having the top shock mounts relocated and a zrx1100 swingarm fitted by Rob. He makes race frames for a living and came highly recommended. I mentioned using top hat spacers so no reaming of the frame. He was not happy at that so I told him to do whatever he thought best. Will post pictures when I get it back.
