loom route

Can any one tell me if this part of the loom is routed correctly? I can'te remember it's route now!
If anyone has a pic of a Z1000A1 without tank and side panels esp LHS I would very much like to have a gander

nope.
it need to go underneath the frame tubes by the side of the airbox.

Ralph, I think you may be incorrect. I recently (18 months ago) had a similar routing problem with a Z900-A4.
With reference to your photo, I believe that, at least part of the wires that you have gathered in the sheath, need to go down the left hand side of the air-box (where the knick is in the air-box) and proceed outside the frame member to the control panel. It will be covered by the LH side-cover.
The other part of the wires, now in the sheath, go to the right hand side and connect to the regulator for the hazard flasher etc. I'm pretty sure its the same routing as the A4.

This is how it is routed on my A2 (with later engine) and the A1 I have is the same. Wish my bike was as clean as yours
