Question on charging testing

I am working my way through testing electrical components on the MkII. With the straight out battery test with no load (lights off) the test was perfect. 13.4v @ 2500rpm and 13.9v @ 5000rpm.
With lights on I get a static 12.7v across the whole rev range, no where in the test schedule does it mention with lights on/off. What do I take away from this ?

My z1000st was similar.
Found that the stator windings were showing fine with no load but broke down when under any load .
check the ac output between each of the yellow wires. They should all be around 50v if I remember correctly.

As an aside I used a zxr400L stator in my St and it gives 14.4v now.
They are also cheap as chips on Ebay.
Buy a new wiring gromet and new connectors if you get a zxr one.
The wiring is slightly thinner so cut the multi plug off and coat the wires in
silicone sealer . Pull the pires through the new grommet then let it set before refilling with oil

at 12.7v on full load the system is supplying what it needs to run the lights ignition and keep the battery "topped" so don't fuss to much
