Z Oil pressure switches

#1 PostAuthor: PAULJAC47 » Sun Dec 04, 2016 5:13 pm

Any Advice here,Are all z type pressure switches the same,Z1b switch today could only get indicator lamp on by shorting wire to frame, couldnt get contituity through switch to engine, took switch out contact on bottom looks clean but spring felt weak, put one in from a4 project, same but spring felt stronger still no continuity, only one i can get reading is from a2 project. All look the same to me and dead simple how they operate,i know oil is getting round as sight glass is emptying when i kick her over.Oil has been drained and fresh oil and filter.seem to remember somewhere about a small hole needing to be in the bottom plate as a relief hole?

You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter
