Braze or weld?

I'm looking to stiffen my mkII frame and noticed that Sanctuary appear to braze rather than weld. Does one method have an advantage over the other, such as less prone to cracking?

Braze...as you said, less liable to crack.
Oh...and if the weld isn't done well...could make the joint weaker.
At least with Brazing, the point won't be any less strong if it's badly done.

If done correctly weld should not crack, this is usually a result of using too much heat, the wrong method (wrong gas mix) or not normalising the joint afterwards.
It's best to use oxt/acet or tig if you can.
Bronze welding is more flexible and doesn't affect the parent metal so any changes can easily be reversed in the future.
The preferable choice would be Bronze weld.
Thanks!

Thanks for that. I suspected bronze brazing would be the best option.

Brazing was the method of choice for joining tubes in both cycle and motorcycle frames eg Reynolds 531 tube. Which was ud-sed in racing frames.
