Z1 rear wheel spacer
Does anyone know what the coller is for on the rear wheel spacer is for it doesn't look to locate into anything, I have bent one side a bit when removing it and wondered if I needed a new one. Cheers. I should say it's the internal spacer that goes inside the hub between the two wheel bearings.
It's there to keep the spacer tube in line with the centre of the bearings whilst fitting the wheel spindle.
Without it the spacer tube could move out of line and either prevent the spindle passing through the wheel or it could drop fully clear of the bearings in to the hub which would then allow the bearings to bind and quickly fail once the spindle is tightened.
