LHS Handlebar Switch Z900-A4

#1 PostAuthor: Garn 1 » Sat Sep 24, 2016 10:27 am

Anyone struck this..
My latest project is complete o'haul of a Z900-A4 !976 also known as a KZ900 in USA.
My problem is I acquired a harness for above mentioned model some years ago.
I also acquired a Left Hand side switch unit.
My harness has a 4 pin connector and my LHS switch has a 6 pin connector.

I really don't need this six pin connector LHS switch I'll have to convert it to a 4 pin!

I think the trouble arose in providing passing lights in the later models (Z1000-A1).
I'll probably sort it out in the long term.... Anyone got an easy fix?

you need a switched live = brown wire & red with black trace which goes to the high beam side of the headlight bulb if you open the harness where the 4 pin block connector enters the main harness you will be able to tap of these wires. remove the original 4 pin connector & replace it with a 6 pin connecting the other two wires
