Z1000 electronic ignition conversion
Hi, Can anyone suggest a good kit and where to get it from? not sure whether a kit with or without coils as well? Want to replace coils anyway...

I think Dyna coils are rather over sold and if fitted you MUST make a special bracket for them or they WILL crack and fail. It's not the easiest job in the world either.
Personally I just use original or cheap pattern coils and they work fine.
Dyna S is the bollocks and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's piss easy to fit. The only Achillies heel is that it uses the original mechanical advance/retard so if your springs are dog n ducked on that then you'll need to replace them. I always fit Dyna S to all my Zeds!

Used Dyna coils for a few years always just bolted them onto existing mounts, ensuring contacts dont come into contact with the frame, maybe lucky but havn,t had one crack yet..
