I'm in the middle of rebuilding my (rough) z1000a2 project and looking for a few parts if anyone can help out.
The airbox (what there is of it) is scruffy and has no top part or rear section...I think the rear part is called a silencer. Alternatively anyone got a reasonable condition complete airbox etc they could sell ?
I don't seem to have a seat lock, or any means at all of holding the seat down....anyone got a seat lock spare they could part with for cash ?
Cheers

Make sure you put a large bid in for the air box, it will go for at least 90 - 100

That airbox isn't for an A2, it looks like a Mk2 box with anA1/A2 silencer.
It will fit though if your not bothered about originality.

Yes, I agree, it's not A1/A2......A1/A2 has a bolt on plate at the front that holds on the carb rubbers.

WOW......that airbox sold for £264.80 with postage !!!!!! The world has gone plain crazy. I paid less than that for a good running engine not that long ago

See I clearly underestimated it, my guess at 90 was way way out, the one I got two weeks ago was 103 :?? If you want it and many do it drives up the price.

A good airbox complete will nearly always go for over £200 the silencer alone is likely to achieve £100 plus, this one did get a good price especially considering it was a cobbled up mismatch. Also a good complete box is more difficult to acquire than an engine which are ten a penny. I've seen NOS A4 airbox silencers go for over £200 alone.
This is the Z world
