excessive oil and burning oil

#1 PostAuthor: bunnysZ » Fri Sep 16, 2016 9:46 am

on top of the crankcase is the body breather ,(chrome dome) which has a pipe that feeds into the air box, i have K&N filters so i have added a pipe which feeds up under my seat into a small filter.
I noticed a lot of smoke and burning oil smell from there the other day, and around the chrome dome it is damp with oil. i removed the body breather today and there is a pool of oil sitting in the recess .
is this a sign of a problem or start of a problem. bike is not burning loads that I have to keep topping it up,
zed the best ride of your life ...... so far

I route mine to underneath the motor (away from the back tyre). No smells, no smoke, no oil drips
Why do I persist in debating with idiots ? I really should know better :)

Oil in the dome don't worry, Zeds with higher mileage prefer not to be filled up to the high mark especially when ridden with vigour
